Our mission is to enable diabetes patients to live a completely normal lives through better management of their diabetes. The key to better management is closer cooperation with healthcare professionals through sharing of data and knowledge. It is therefore important to collect data about patients’ diabetes where and when the data is measured or produced. Technology would make it easier for patients to keep track of their diabetes data. It also allows more accurate recording of such data. Sharing of such data with healthcare professionals would increase patient motivation and effectiveness of therapies designed for individual patients.

Main goal of diabetes treatment is glycemic regulation. This reduces complications of diabetes. For effective treatment of diabetes, doctors need data about the individual patient; blood glucose levels, blood pressure levels, weight, etc. Idiab allows a full-range of diabetes data to be collected.

Idiab project, headed by Prof. Suleyman Sevinc,  was started in 2003. Our goal is to reach as many diabetes patients as possible and to make life easier for them.
